The Groundtech GR-4 is designed for treasure hunters who need a lightweight, stealthy device without compromising on depth. Unlike traditional heavy detectors, the GR-4 is a “stick” sensor that connects wirelessly to your tablet or phone.
Using advanced sensor technology, it visualizes the underground in 3D, allowing you to see the difference between voids (caves, tunnels) and metals before you start digging.
3 Professional Operating Modes
The GR-4 is equipped with high-sensitivity sensors that allow you to scan the ground in three different ways via the G-Portal App:
The primary mode. It gathers data from the ground to create a full 3D graph. You can analyze the shape, depth, and size of underground objects up to 15 meters deep.
Walk and scan simultaneously without saving data. This mode provides a real-time 2D visualization, showing red for metal and blue for voids. Perfect for rapid scouting.
Once you find a potential target, use Pinpointer mode to locate its exact center. This high-sensitivity digital mode helps you define the precise spot to dig.

Do I need to be an expert to use the GR-4?
No, the GR-4 is designed for “Start and Go” operation. The G-Portal app is user-friendly, and the device calibrates automatically to the soil.
Can I use this for finding single coins?
The GR-4 is a 3D Ground Scanner specialized for larger, deeper objects (voids, chests). For single coin hunting on the surface, we recommend the GR-4 Dual model, which includes a Pulse Induction Metal Detector mode specifically for that purpose.
Is the tablet included?
The device connects to your own Android or iOS smartphone/tablet. This keeps the device lighter and allows you to use a screen you are already comfortable with.
