German Engineering at its Peak
The Lorenz Deepmax Z2 Standard Detecting Kit is one of the most sensitive and stable Pulse Induction (Pulse GBS) devices currently available. Developed in Germany, it is the result of years of research to improve upon the famous Deepmax Z1. The Z2 is specifically designed to locate deeply buried metal objects in mineralized ground or even salt water, where other detectors fail.
A major feature of the Z2 is its powerful coil options. It operates with a 35cm coil for detecting gold nuggets and coins up to approx. 1.5 meters, or with the large 1m x 1m Frame Coil to detect large treasure chests, voids, and hoards. With the frame coil, the Deepmax Z2 depth can get up to 5 meters.
The Z2 features a completely new anodized aluminium control unit that is smaller and lighter than its predecessor. With its highly refined Pulse Scorrning Technology (PST), it offers improved signal-to-noise ratios, allowing it to detect non-ferrous metals like gold and silver much deeper than standard VLF detectors.

The core technology that ignores ground mineralization and salt water. It transmits powerful magnetic pulses to energize the ground and reads the decay signal of eddy currents in metal objects. - 2. PST (Pulse Scorrning Technology)
A new improvement in the Z2 that refines the signal processing, allowing for greater sensitivity to smaller non-ferrous items and better depth on large targets. - 3. Frame Coils
The device is optimized for large search coils. With frame coil the Deepmax Z2 depth can get up to 5 meters for large buried objects like chests or pipes. - 4. Ferrous / Non-Ferrous ID
