Choose the appropriate metal detector settings for the site, and check the exact coil and accessory bundle before ordering.
Nokta The Legend 2 Metal Detector
The Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector combines simultaneous multi-frequency operation with several search modes. This metal detector can be configured for parks, fields, beaches, relics and gold prospecting.
Nokta The Legend 2 Metal Detector Overview
The Nokta The Legend 2 Metal Detector uses simultaneous multi-frequency (SMF) or selected single frequencies for different conditions. Choose the metal detector’s Park, Field, Beach, Relic or Gold mode for the site, then adjust settings as ground and target responses require.
The Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector weighs about 1.2 kg with a search coil and carries a 6700 mAh lithium-ion battery according to Nokta. This metal detector is designed for longer field sessions, but actual battery runtime depends on settings and use.
The Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector is IP68 rated for submersion up to 5 meters when correctly assembled. Its metal detection modes include a dedicated Relic mode and Gold mode; match the selected program to the environment before searching in wet or mineralized ground.
Metal Detector Modes and Technology
- 1. Simultaneous Multi-Frequency (SMF)
Unleash the power of all frequencies at once. This metal detector processes multiple operating frequencies together, ensuring you don’t miss tiny gold nuggets or deep silver coins masked by iron. - 2. Enhanced FerroCheck™
Dig less trash. This advanced graphical interface accurately analyzes the ferrous (iron) content of a target, allowing you to distinguish between bottle caps and valuable coins with confidence. - 3. New Relic Mode
Designed for the toughest conditions. This new mode uses lower weighted frequencies to punch deep into highly mineralized soil, recovering large artifacts that other machines miss. - 4. Carbon Fiber Construction
Perfect balance and durability. The completely redesigned shaft system reduces weight to just 1.2 kg, making this metal detector easier to carry through a longer search. - 5. Silent Search Capability
Ideal for underwater or discreet hunting. Features a built-in vibration module for tactile feedback and includes premium aptX™ Low Latency Bluetooth headphones for crystal clear wireless audio.

Metal Detector Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can older Legend coils be used with the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector, or does this metal detector need LD-series coils?
A: Nokta lists LD-series coils for the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector, while the earlier Legend uses LG-series coils. Check the exact search coil’s model compatibility before fitting it to this metal detector.
Q: Is the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector battery user replaceable, and how should this metal detector be serviced?
A: The Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector has a rechargeable 6700 mAh lithium-ion battery. Ask Nokta or an authorized service provider about replacement and approved power accessories; opening this metal detector without guidance can compromise its water sealing.
Q: Does the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector support bone-conduction headphones for metal detection near water?
A: Nokta lists bone-conduction headphone compatibility for the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector. Check the headphone model and its own water rating before use; the metal detector’s Bluetooth connection should not be assumed to work underwater.
Q: Is the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector waterproof for shallow-water metal detection?
A: Nokta rates the Nokta The Legend 2 metal detector IP68 for submersion to 5 meters. Follow the maker’s assembly and maintenance instructions when using this metal detector around salt water, streams or wet sand.
